The Cape Girardeau Police Department offers several career opportunities for civilians. These include the positions of: records clerk, nuisance abatement officer, jailer, communicator, and administrative support positions. As a civilian employee of the Cape Girardeau Police Department, you will be eligible to participate in a variety of benefits offered by the City of Cape Girardeau.
Civilian employees receive on-the-job training from supervisors and seasoned, veteran employees. Civilian employees may also receive periodic training relative to their specific job duties.
