NOTICE: Due to extraordinary circumstances regarding the novel Coronavirus COVID-19, Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation facilities, meetings and programs will suspend all activities until at least May 1. Furthermore, playgrounds, the skate park, dog park, tennis courts, basketball courts, FitZone and other gathering areas are closed. Open areas, trails and green space will remain open and are safe to use as long as guests avoid groups over 10 and stay six feet or further away from non-household members. Parks & Trails

The City of Cape Girardeau maintains 25 parks covering 662.5 acres. Many parks share common facilities like playground equipment and shelters, and have their own characteristics. Some parks feature shelters that are available to rent. Park rental information is to the right. A comprehensive park list is located below. We hope you enjoy our beautiful parks!
