About the Fire/Rescue Fund
As a municipal Fire Department, the City of Cape Girardeau Fire Department is primarily funded by local sales tax revenue. Our annual operating budget and major capital improvements are dependent on this revenue. Historically, we have been very fortunate and appreciative of the confidence and support our citizens have provided us.

However, citizens are sometimes inspired to donate funds for specific reasons, or to simply supplement our programs or equipment. Thee donations are also greatly appreciated.

The Fund is a part of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) Agency Partners Program, created to serve those nonprofits and organizations which have established funds with CFO.
