All interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. at City Hall. City Council will consider approving a petition to establish a community improvement district to be known as the “RCC Community Improvement District” and authorize a sales tax and special assessments on the mall property. No action will be taken at this meeting.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF
THE RCC COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 5:00 pm Central Time in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 44 North Lorimier, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, 63701, pursuant to Sections 67.1401 to 67.1571, Revised Statutes of Missouri (the “Act”).

The purpose of said hearing is to consider the approval by the City Council of a petition to establish a community improvement district to be known as the “RCC Community Improvement District” and authorize the imposition by the RCC Community Improvement District of a sales tax and special assessments within the boundaries of the RCC Community Improvement District pursuant to the Act (the “Petition”). The Petition was filed with the office of the City Clerk on July 21, 2023.

A copy of the Petition is on file with the office of the City Clerk and is available for review by any interested person during regular business hours at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall, at 44 North Lorimier, Cape Girardeau, Missouri,63701.

The boundaries of the proposed RCC Community Improvement District are generally located east of S. Mt. Auburn Road, south of William Street, west of S. Silver Springs Road and north of Blattner Drive at the location generally encompassing what is currently known as West Park Mall; the boundaries of the proposed RCC Community Improvement
District are more particularly set forth in the map below.
