Mr. Meyer’s city management career came with its challenges. He started
with the City during the Great Recession and is ending his tenure in a
pandemic. But under his leadership, the City not only survived but
thrived in challenging times without the layoffs, service cuts, and
shutdowns that troubled communities across the nation. He credits all of
the City’s successes to the innovative and resilient people of the Cape
Girardeau community and city organization. Please join us in
celebrating Scott Meyer, his career, and the community he has so
faithfully served. Light refreshments will be provided. Masking will be
encouraged, but not required.
