The Cape Girardeau Police Explorer Program is a volunteer service program for young adults within the police department. This program gives young people the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement. Many use this program as a stepping stone to enter into the law enforcement profession.
Explorers spend much of their time learning the skills needed to be a successful police officer. Our Explorers learn police radio procedures, police policies, principals of police patrol, and participate in a ride-along program with uniformed officers.
If you are between the ages of 14 and 21 and can commit to monthly classes/meetings, contact
